The high price tag comes from the large amount of land, which is where it gets even sadder. The adjacent lot that is being included in the sale is the former site for the William O’Connell designed home we featured last year. The home unfortunately is no longer with us. There is a lot to love (and a little to hate) with this one. I appreciate that they’ve deviated from the standard materials and tried something new, like the corrugated siding. I don’t see any documentation that this is an A.D. Stenger home but it’s certainly in the right area and the right time to be. Even if it wasn’t designed by him I have a feeling he would have approved. Great clerestory windows and wood paneling throughout and it’s fairly well maintained. Hopefully an mid century modern enthusiast with good taste picks this one up.
