500 S 3rd

While a million dollars is a big chunk of change for a detached duplex (even a handsome one like this one), the location on this house is insane. It's about as close as you can get to auditorium shores, so if that's a priority for you I could see the appeal.

I got a lot of love for these little SOL houses, and while $400k isn't the bargain price these used to go for $250 a square foot in east Austin still isn't bad. This one looks like it is one of the larger ones KRDB built in phase one too.

This is a great looking house and a perfect example of what a little paint can do. While it wasn't bad looking before, the recent update that included and a pretty extensive remodel also included a paint change on the outside. It's amazing what going from a yellow house to a white house and adding some landscaping can do for the curb appeal. 2015 photo shown at the end for reference.

1906 Airole

The one is a true stunner. Originally designed and built by A. D. Stenger in 1950 it received a comprehensive and sensitive update in 2012 by Chioco Design. I love all the clerestory windows, they do so much to make a space bright and open feeling. The addition of all the roof top decking is amazing too, especially with those views. All that goodness though may take a back seat to those amazing bathrooms. Hats off to Andrea Calo for the beautiful photos.

There's plenty of modern farmhouse's out there, but this one takes it up a notch with the interior. It's got some solid base pallet and has a few nice touches of flair without going over the top. It get's bonus points too for being so close to all the north loop goodies.
