This 1953 house has seen an extensive remodel, so much so you have to squint a bit to see any of the 50's left in it. Open your eyes wide though and you'll see lot of great new stuff. Being a cabinetry snob, any time I see grain matched cabinetry I know that they probably went the extra mile on the other details as well.

Whoa. Excuse me while I pick my jaw off the ground. This Matt Fajkus designed home built by Brodie Builders is about as top of the line you can get. I absolutely love the warmth of the wood ceilings in the large public spaces. Of course if you know me you know I'm an absolute sucker for a pool, and this one is an absolute pièces de résistance.

I shared this one last Sept when it was on the market last, but it's just too good to not share again. This is the personal home of David Webber from Weber + Studio and it has won several well deserved awards. It's one of those houses that the longer you look at it the more little clever things you find. Those happen to be my favorite houses.

This H+UO designed house follows on the ever more common theme of a traditional two story home done in a modern vernacular. It's a theme we are seeing more and more of, and in my opinion it's a good thing. The interior is also on trend with light wide plank flooring and airy open spaces. That, plus a great central location help it add up to a price tag just north of a million dollars.

I had the pleasure of walking through this house a few months ago when they were still finishing up the construction. I was very impressed then, and even more so now. This Chris Krager designed and built home if full of thoughtful design and nice details. I'm always super critical of custom cabinetry, and theres a lot of it in this house. Happy to say I didn't have a bad thing to say about it. Is it crazy to have an $800k house on the east side? Crazy maybe, but it's the new reality, especially for architect designed homes like this one.
