While this house might not be much to look at from the street, all 678 sq. ft. of the interior have received a thoughtful makeover. With housing prices in central Austin continuing to climb, small houses like this can help housing stay more affordable. On top of that, it's always great to see an original house saved instead of demo'd.

This isn't the first time we've seen this house for sale. After an unsuccessful sale a few years ago it's been happily living a life as an AirBnB rental. A few of my clients have stayed there and word on the block is it's delightful, but the floor plan needs to be opened up a bit. Floor plan aside, I love this place. On a street full of Stenger homes it's a total sleeper from the curb. The view from the back though.... It's all brutalist, mid century goodness.

Price: $699,000

Despite having recently found itself on the hilarious (and brutally judgmental) Ugly Austin Houses instagram feed, I've always had a soft spot in my heart for this Bercy Chen designed condo. Whether or not you like the exterior, you have to admit the current owner has great taste in furniture. What's your thought on the building? Love it or hate it?

I posted basically this exact same listing backing in January (except it was unit #B) but since then three things have happened that make me want to share this again. #1 While wandering the neighborhood finishing my beer post Sam's BBQ I ran into the owner and he was super cool and had a beer with me. #2 He showed me around the inside, and let me tell you people, this place is well done. #3 That price. Seriously, well designed modern new construction for $270 a sq. ft. That's a steal.

Price: $449,000
