I like to complain about the steep increase in pricing in what was once affordable South Austin, but dare I say that in this market this house is a good value? At the very least it looks like a stylish and thoughtful remodel on a good chunk of land. In this market that’s hard to find.

Price: $775,000

Details: 1,650 sf, 3 Bed, 3 Bath

This Westlake Hills gem dropped just before the weekend. Honestly it’s got just about everything you could ask for, except a small price tag.

Price: $2,750,000

There is a TON of value in this East Riverside mid century. The interiors are a bit hectic, though paint could fix the majority of that. My only real complaint is that there are no vaulted ceilings. Either way, move this west of I35 and it’s a million dollar house easy.

Price: $650,000

This is such a fun little pocket of mid century modern homes in East Austin. This particular house sold in 2020 for $370k, $70k under asking. That’s how much the market has changed in one year. To be fair they have done a gorgeous job remodeling it. Good luck finding another house like this on a 1/4 acre in East Austin.

I’m really digging these northwest hills remodels lately. I especially appreciate some of the updates on this one, like the privacy screen and the pivot door. Inside is a bit vanilla, but if we’re being honest that is just all the better to decorate around.

Here’s a great little investment property in Hyde Park listed by my office mate Rob. 2/1 down and 1/1 up. Keep it the way it is and offset your mortgage, or convert it to your dream single family home. Either way you can’t go wrong.

This little slice of heaven sits just 2 miles outside of Marfa, close enough enjoy the town but far enough to bath in the solitude of West Texas. Built in 2016 the aesthetic pulls heavily from greats like Corbusier and Sa

6th and Brushy is probably my favorite east Austin condo’s. It has all the benefits of a downtown condo at a much better price. This has got to be one of the cooler units in the building, complete with 2 car garage and private

My favorite thing about modern architecture is when I see something unique and functional. Either is fairly easy to pull off alone, but it’s putting them both together that’s the tricky part. Luckily for the fine folks at

Is modern Tudor the new modern farmhouse? This isn’t the first one I’ve seen pop up lately and I’ve got a feeling it’s not going to be the last either. Personally while I appreciate some of the character, there a

A.D. Stenger is probably one of Austin’s best know mid century modern architects, but despite building nearly 100 homes there just aren’t too many left that haven’t been significantly altered. This 1965 build has had

I continue to be very interested in these 3d printed houses. Certainly the design is compelling, and if they can move the needle on affordability that would be a game changer. This Wimberly adjacent home sure is a deal at just over $20

Let’s be honest, the 90’s were a bit of a black hole for good architecture. That being said, there were the exceptions and this is a great example of timeless design. The architecture looks as relevant as ever and a thoughtful

I love the Brown Building for its historic character. If I lived downtown, it would definitely be in this building. I’ve been through a lot of different floor plans in the building and this is by far my favorite. It looks like th
