2113 Barbaro #3

Anyone looking for a vacation home at Lake Travis? This little modern cabin might just be the perfect little pied-à-terre outside of town. While the area has no shortage of amenities I’m thinking an ice cold beer and that outdoor tub might just be the perfect thing.

Price: $250,000

2010A Rabb Glenn

I’m still not sick of modern farm houses, especially when they are well done like this one. I think my favorite part about this house though might be the outdoor area. It looks especially enticing now that the weather is cooling off.

3601 Oak Springs

This will be a very interesting one to watch. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a very well done east Austin compound. Both the 1,600 sf main house and the 1,100 sf secondary house are well done, better than most in fact. The whole thing was actually for sale this spring for $850k (and didn't sell) so I don’t understand why the new price increase.

Price: $1,200,000

Details: 2,700 sqft, 2 Bed, 4 Bath

1111 W 31st : Leonard Lundgren

Unfortunately this one is doubly depressing. This 1953 mid century modern home designed by architect Leonard Lundgren is being billed as a tear down, with demo permit already approved. The high price tag comes from the large amount of land, which is where it gets even sadder. The adjacent lot that is being included in the sale is the former site for the William O’Connell designed home we featured last year. The home unfortunately is no longer with us. Pour one out for Austin architecture today. :(
