What I love the most about this house is that it shows how a few simple updates can totally transform an old bungalow. The white paint job gives the house a fresh modern look outside and some updates to basics like flooring and the kitchen and bathrooms finish the job. The splurge on the island countertop really elevates the whole project too.

They are calling this "soft contemporary" which is a term that I usually hate. I have to admit though that this house is pretty great. Sure there are some stylistic embellishments that don't quite rub me the right way, but it's better than the awful mosiac tile in all the "modern" infill.

1816 Pasadena #A

Here's some nice infill in the Crestview neighborhood. The house could use a bit of staging but at least the architecture is good. With all the white farmhouses I've been seeing lately it's nice to see a good dark house.

900 Karen #B

Usually when you see a unit B listing like this you can expect a smaller house with a small price and a few less of the high end finish outs. This Thomas Tornbjerg designed unit keeps the small price but ditches the small size. The finish out doesn't skimp either, I know those built in refrigerator freezers don't come cheap.
