I passed this one up a few months ago because there were just too many good things at the time, but now that it's slowed down a bit it's worth doubling back for. It falls firmly in the modern at heart category and whether you like the style or not you at least have to admit that it's well done. This was for sale last spring but it looks like things didn't work out. It's back now with a better price though it now shares the lot with a freestanding condo. I still think it's a fantastic house and it's funny how that nearly $700k price tag starts to look more and more reasonable as the years go by. I guess that goes along with 12th and Chicon looking very different these days...

The listing mentions a butcher block island with pull out pivot table, which definitely piqued my interest. That little feature I assume comes by way of Rabbet Labs.

I always say that Holly is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Austin, and with all the development on Cesar Chavez it's only getting better. Unfortunately that means the price point is going up too, but this is a rare opportunity to get into the neighborhood in a new modern farm house for under $500k. How do they do it? Square footage. It's not a big house, but honestly 900 sq. ft. is plenty of room for one or two people. Plus there is some pretty great yard space to be had as well.
