Here is another great 60's northwest hills home that has gotten a full makeover. The kitchen is a little uninspired but the otherwise neutral pallet is a perfect canvas to add onto. I'm always a fan of those stacked limestone facades too especially when they carry inside to the fireplace.

Remember this one? I posted about it back in 2014. It needed a TON of work back then, so I'm glad to see that someone took the time and effort to fix it up. Unfortunately it's lost a lot of the character it had before but at least it didn't get torn down. It's still a slightly quirky mid century home on a gorgeous lot.

7705 Merrybrook

I'm back, and I've got a sleeper with an interesting back storyto share. This is one of those houses that I suspect is better in real life than it is in the photos. It was designed in 1979 by Chartier Newton, an Austin based architect that practiced briefly with Arthur Fehr in the 70's after Charles Granger's untimely death. Like Charles Granger he also studied at Cranbrook Academy of Art and worked for Eero Saarinen for a time. This house has a fantastic private outdoor courtyard which the house wraps around. It's seen some updates (for good or bad) and now it just needs a little interior design love.
