I'm just going to continue on this theme of farmhouse modern. This Zilker beauty comes to us thanks to the folks at Moore-Tate. I'm really enjoying the stark black white contrast in the design. It makes the elements like the fireplace, doors etc really pop. Plus, how fun would it be to fill the space with some colorful pieces of furniture.

This stunning modern home was built in 2012 by Brodie Brothers and is now on the market for the first time. I imagine the kitchen you will either love or hate. I'm in the love camp, minus the refrigerator which is a bit over the top for me. The rest of the details in the house however are well thought out and more refrained.

607 Terrell Hill

If you follow me on Instagram you may recognize this amazing duplex in 78704. Savvy readers may notice it looks awfully similar to 605 Terrell that I posted back in Dec. That's because both were designed by Thomas Tornbjerg. After walking through both, I can say Thomas is absolutely killing it. So much so that these three in a row are already under contract. If you were hoping to get in on some Tornbjerg goodness get at me. I have some info on upcoming project that may just make your day.

Remember that A. D. Stenger house I mentioned in my newsletter last week?

UPDATE: I just received some more information on this property, and it turns out it is not a Stenger house, but was designed by local Architect Kenneth Nuhn who passed away last year. Mr Nuhn was an accomplished architect in his own right who spent much of his career working for the State Health Department.

It's got a lot going for it, the Barton Hills location is ideal, and while the interior needs some love the bones are good. I actually prefer a house in this condition, you don't pay a premium for someone else's remodel, and you get to make it exactly how you want it.

1908 Airole : A.D. Stenger

We're back! The good news is I've got a doozy for you, the bad news is this beauty came and went in 3 quick days and is now under contract. Built by A.D. Stenger in 1950, one of the things that I like most about this house is just how original it looks inside. Sure it's probably seen a few updates over the years, but the important stuff hasn't been messed with. That combined with the HUGE lot, the location and that price, it's no wonder this one didn't last long.
