2300 Rundell : AD Stenger

This house started out as a 1950’s design build by famed Austin architect Arthur Dallas Stenger, then in 2009 it got a full remodel with help from MJ Neal. I absolutely love all the indoor / outdoor space and that simple slab front maple cabinetry is almost too perfect. I’m a bit on the fence about the transformer room (1st pic) though, how 'bout you?

613 W Live Oak : MJ Neal

Here’s a real gem that has been featured many times on home tours and in the press. Designed by MJ Neal in 2001 it looks fresh as ever in 2019. The house is thoroughly modern and I have to say it’s really refreshing to see materials like cinder block, acrylic and perforated metal that don’t get used nearly enough these days. This one is a future classic at a great price.

613 W Live Oak : MJ Neal

When this house was built in 2001,  times were very different. Dwell Magazine was still in it's first year of print, the iMac still looked like a regular computer monitor (but with colors!) and this amazing house designed by local architect MJ Neal was built in the heart of 78704. The house is a true testimony that good design is timeless. Though this home is almost 14 years old, it still looks better than the majority of the homes being passed off as "modern" today. Someone snatch this little piece of history up before it's too late. More photo's available via the "more info" link below.
