2814 Oak Springs #B

I've been watching three modern homes pop up along side a small old stone cottage on Oak Springs Rd for almost a year now. The most surprising thing about the project is that when it started I considered it pretty deep east Austin, but with the rolling stone of gentrification heading east, this actually seems like a decent location now. Heck, there's even a a craft liquor and barware store a few block east of this. There are multiple homes for sale on this lot, contact me for more info. Here's the details of the one pictured.

Price: $319,000

All right folks, you're just going to have to trust me on this one. This building is actually home to Skout offices, but in addition to commercial space in the building there are seven residential units. This building is the ultimate sleeper, super close to downtown, but just far enough away. It has a lovely courtyard and pool, and it's even got solar panels. Plus, did I mention we could be neighbors?

Price: $339,000

Details: 729 sq/ft, 1 Bed, 1 Bath

OK, obviously this is not modern, but I know a whole bunch of you are like me and love mixing old architecture with modern interiors. How awesome would it be to restore this house built in 1872? If only it could be in Austin at that same price.

Price: $260,000

Details: 1,312 sq/ft, 2 Bed, 2 Bath

This one actually came on the market a few weeks ago, but since things are a bit slow now I thought I would share. The house itself and the recent remodel are quite good, but for some reason it's the juxtaposition of the garage in the last photo and its connection to the house that gets me excited. Is that weird?

Price: $774,900

Another great Tornbjerg project. This one bucks the trend a bit both in location and style. It's located in Cherrywood, an area where we aren't seeing a lot of new construction and the exterior is predominantly standing seam metal siding as opposed to the stucco or Hardy board siding Tornbjerg usually uses. Inside however are the usual high end finishes and detailing and bright white spaces.

Price: $495,000

Details: 1,768 sq/ft, 3 Bed, 3 Bath
