1000 Madron Dr : Barrow & Stahl

This house is an absolute hidden gem. Designed in 1969 by Barrow & Stahl, this one owner home is the perfect example of an architecturally designed mid century home that has been absolutely untouched. The home is perfectly designed for the lot, with a private street facing entry onto the second floor via a bridge. Thanks to the sloping lot both levels of home feature large windows give sweeping views of the .67 acre lot. Someone please buy this and invite me over for cocktails.

6404 Lakeshore : Lantz Full Circle

There are a lot of older homes out there that have good bones, but just need a little bit of help to become great. This 1963 split level got that help from Karen Lantz of Lantz Full Circle, and the result was an AIA award winning project. The thoughtful, well executed details are plentiful as are the stunning as are the lakeside views. The Marye Company did a great job of putting together a comprehensive look at the home, check it out here

5928 Lux : SOL

I first blogged about SOL back in 2011 on Grassrootsmodern. Since that time, I have only two things to say. #1 I wish there were more homes for sale in SOL. #2 I wish they were still priced around $190,000. Either way, this unique community of affordable modern homes in East Austin is still one of my favorites. This is one of three brand new homes to be built in the area, and something tells me it won't be available for long.

904 W Johanna #B

I almost don't even know where to start when it comes to my love for this house. The overall material pallet is absolutely on point. Typical modern materials like concrete floors and white walls (which I love) are softened with a mix of warm and bleached woods. The outdoor spaces don't disappoint either. Even though this may be a condo unit (duplex on one lot) that doesn't mean it doesn't have it's own private outdoor spaces. Oh yeah, the location doesn't suck either.
