While it seems crazy to see house prices in East Austin pushing over the half a million dollar range it is good to see homes like this on the market. First, the Holly neighborhood is pretty much my favorite East Austin location. It's close to the lake, and the Cesar Chavez corridor makes it feel a bit isolated (in a good way) from the rest of East Austin. All this while being incredibly close to both downtown, and East 6th. This particular home is rare for a few reasons, first, it's not some bland faux modern infill, but it's also over 2,000 square feet, something hard to come by in the area. The interior has been very nicely updated as well. All this for a fairly typical east side updated price of around $300 a square foot.

I've always had a soft spot for the Milagro condos. The location is great, close to the lakeside trails, close to downtown and close to East Austin (and obviously right smack dab on Rainey st). This sub-penthouse is about as swanky as you can get in this building and you can color me impressed. 1,300+ square feet, granite, hardwood, and my all time favorite, a murphy bed.

I just can't get enough of these Mid Century ranch houses. The stacked limestone is a classic architectural vernacular for Texas and makes my little heart pitter patter when framed by those amazing trees. Interior spaces are bright and open, and that swimming pool is just icing on the cake.

I'm typically not attracted to homes quite this contemporary, but in this case I'm going to make an exception. The biggest thing that catches my eye are all the amazing indoor/outdoor spaces. I also really like all the use of stone indoors. You would just need to make sure you balance it with bright, clean lined furniture so it doesn't look too busy.
