Ok, I can't say I particularly love the "throw a funny roof line on it and it will be modern" architecture of this house, but it does have some good things going for it. Nay, great things. It's in one of my absolute favorite neighborhoods, and despite the so so exterior, the interior spaces actually look pretty great.

This one is in a slightly better location, and appears to have some higher end touches (custom cabinetry instead of Ikea) so that's great. On the downside (for buyers) it's also $120,000 more than the last one.

I think the ultimate test of modern is how well it stands up to the judgment of time. This 2006 East Austin project by KRDB looks just as relevant today as it did when it was built in 2006. The only thing that could make it better for a buyer would be 2006 pricing.
