The market for luxury modern farm house homes continues to be strong. This spacious house sticks to a simple formula of white walls and dark floors and cabinetry. It might not be the most creative but as long as you get the details right it's a perfect base to add on to.

5002 N Fresco

Proof that some white paint and wide blonde wood flooring makes everything better. Lot's of good natural light here too. It looks like the garage was converted to an office sometime in the past, and while I see what they are trying to do with the courtyard it does unfortunately throw off the curb appeal a bit.

They are calling this "soft contemporary" which is a term that I usually hate. I have to admit though that this house is pretty great. Sure there are some stylistic embellishments that don't quite rub me the right way, but it's better than the awful mosiac tile in all the "modern" infill.

3000 Stoneway

You don't see a lot of infill building in Allandale which makes this 2015 build a bit unique. Speaking of unique, that stairway in the middle of the room is something you don't see everyday. It's definitely a dramatic move, though I'm still undecided if I love it or not.

This Allandale / Shoalmont project comes by way of Sett Studio. It's hard to tell from the photos, but it looks like there are all sorts of great little easter eggs surprises built into this design. The listing mentions a butcher block island with pull out pivot table, which definitely piqued my interest. That little feature I assume comes by way of Rabbet Labs.
