Ok, I get that this one needs a bit of imagination. This is a special kind of classic 80's contemporary that I saw a lot of in resort towns of Utah when I was a kid. The extensive use of wood siding can make it look a bit dated, but really it's just begging for a minor tweak. Think brutalist / Scandinavian. Just stain the exterior black, update some of the flooring to a white washed pine or oak, and prosper.

905 The High Rd

Well hello there quirky modern tree house complete with strangely appropriate road name, nice to meet you. Once again, I'm always a fan of something a bit out of the ordinary and well done, both of which are accomplished with this house. Built in 1972, but recently remodeled. Anyone have any idea on the original architect on this one?

600 Spurlock Valley

Back in 2011 when the current owners bought this house, it was a very, very different looking house. Luckily with a some great vision from Alter Studios and what was a pretty major addition / remodel, the space looks amazing now. Despite lots of concrete and white paint, the painted and natural woods do an amazing job of keeping it feeling warm and inviting. Of course I'm always a sucker for details like grain matched cabinetry, and the perfect amount of overhang on the countertops.
