The bad news here is that I can't even tell that this house started out as a 1950's home. The good news is that the remodel was done by Michael Hsu and it looks awesome! Here's a great example of a well decorated unit at Austin City Lofts. The space, complete with 11 foot ceilings and concrete floors is a good starting point.
