There is A LOT of this kind of development in East Austin that I don't feature. Most of it just isn't quite up to to par, or not quite marketed right. This one I'm going to bite on though because it looks to be done a bit better than the rest. For example: Stone and metal siding instead of painted hardie board or stucco. No horrible stained concrete floors or mosaic tile and they even have some interesting light fixtures. #slowclap

Ok, no two ways about it, this is a small house. At 600 sq/ft it's a bit of a shame that they didn't just make it a 1 bedroom or studio. That being said if you don't mind the compact footprint the build out looks good, and it's just a block away from good old Bill Hankey at the King Bee, and that's got to be worth something right?

Ok, I can't say I particularly love the "throw a funny roof line on it and it will be modern" architecture of this house, but it does have some good things going for it. Nay, great things. It's in one of my absolute favorite neighborhoods, and despite the so so exterior, the interior spaces actually look pretty great.

Look familiar? That's because I shared a nearly identical home by Metro Studio Homes a few months ago. You can see it here. This one is in a slightly better location, and appears to have some higher end touches (custom cabinetry instead of Ikea) so that's great. On the downside (for buyers) it's also $120,000 more than the last one.

Capping off the week with another (relatively) affordable house. This one is in (deep) east Austin and is a lovely little "modern at heart" home. It's great to see some of these little bungalows get a new life. As with all modern at heart homes, it's all about the interior design here. This is a blank slate just waiting for your touch.
