1209 Cedar Ave

I like this listing for a few reasons. First, this is not the first "modern" home in the 1,700 sq/ft range to list in the $650k+ range. While this is a crazy price, it seems the market is supporting it, which bodes well for my new build next summer. Second, while the house isn't particularly interesting or compelling from the outside, I like that they took some chances on the inside. Definitely a love it or hate it interior.

2501 Toulouse

I wouldn't mind being king of this castle. Castlewood Forest is a small subdivision in South Austin that if full of great Texas style mid century modern ranch homes. This one recently got a full overhaul with what looks like some pretty tasteful surfaces. The .3 acre yard means you've got plenty of space to reign over.

505 Yaupon Valley

I love a home that has a little personality to it. It's one of the thing that always draws me back to the mid century homes. This West Lake home has swagger and personality for days. Sure a lot of it is the interior design, but the architecture itself is full up quirkiness and interesting detailing.

3208 Cherrywood

This Cherrywood charmer happens to be ideally located just a few blocks from some of my favorite Cherrywood haunts. I took a look at it over the weekend and was really impressed with it. Unfortunately the location coupled with the fantastic remodel means that by the time you read this, it will probably already be under contract.
