Don’t get me wrong this is a great house, especially the fireplace and built in cabinetry, but ultimately it’s the location that makes it great. I love this little pocket just off of Balcones road for it’s peaceful vibes. There are even some potential views to be had with an addition on this house. At almost 1/2 an acre there is definitely space for it here.

This gorgeous 60’s home has been perfectly updated, thanks to a kitchen and bath makeover by Tim Cuppett. All the good bits are still there though, like those amazing clerestory windows and the room anchoring fireplace. The only thing that could make it better would be a pool, oh wait, it has that too.

3414 Mount Bonnell

This one is an absolute unicorn. A modernist 60’s home built on Mount Bonnell on a half an acre, and it’s mostly unmolested. It’s hard to visualize the mid century modern vibes inside with all the traditional decoration, but I bet this thing was a stunner when it was built. I bet it could be again too.

Wowza! I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is nothing better than a well updated mid century modern home. This 60's ranch has gotten complete update inside, gorgeous white oak floors and tasteful cabinetry and tile abound. That skylight in the living room is blowing my mind too, it's HUGE! The fact it's in one of my favorite neighborhoods and it has a pool makes it a 10 out of 10 in my book.

What an absolutely stunning mid century modern home. That huge wall of glass in the tiered living / dining room is fantastic. The home was built in 1961 and remodeled in 1993 and it's hard to tell which part was done in each phase. My guess is that those windows weren't original.

The Balcones area is one of my favorites in the city and this house is a prime example why. Great 50's architecture with a low slung roofline and plenty of stacked limestone. Those curved glass block walls are pretty great too. The interior could use some updating but I'm going to go ahead and call that a bonus.
